WAW: "Treasure"

Goede woensdag morgen (of later, wanneer jullie dit dan ook lezen :-D  ).

Vandaag weer een mooie tekst uit Mattheus 6:21.  In Het Boek vertaling staat er: Als uw rijkdom in de hemel ligt, zal uw hart daar ook naar uitgaan.
Van het weekend keek ik naar de dienst van Hour of Power en daar werd ook deze tekst aangehaald. Zo mooi. Ook werd ik sterk bepaald met 1 aspect in mijn leven. Soms kun je je erg focussen op bepaalde dingen, terwijl je dan de ware essentie van je leven uit het oog verliest. Voor mij was dat een goede les om weer terug te gaan naar de essentie van mijn geloof en mijn leven. En dat God eigenlijk de ware schat is. Als je dan verder leest in vers 25 en verder, dan zie je dat God voor alles in je noden voorziet. Dus waarom zorgen maken wat je morgen moet eten of dragen. Of dat je wel of niet veel geld verdient of wat dan ook. God is zo goed, en dat heb ik de afgelopen week ook sterk ervaren. Ik kan (kon) me vaak snel zorgen maken, of hele scenarios verzinnen wat ik wel of niet ga zeggen als er in een bepaalde situatie waar ik in zit dingen gebeuren (hopelijk snappen jullie me een beetje). Maar ik heb geleerd om de dingen waarover ik pieker of me druk om maak, die toch weer in Gods handen te leggen. Hij zorgt voor mij.

Good Wednesday morning (or later, whenever you read this :-D )

Today a beautiful scripture from Matthew 6:21. In the Dutch 'The Book' bible it says (freely translated): If your riches/treasure is in heaven,  your heart will be there also. 
This weekend I watched the sermon of Hour of Power, and this scripture was read too. So triking. I also was strongly hit with one aspect in my life. Sometimes you can be so strongly focused on certain things,  that the true essence of life is lost out of sight. For me it was a good lesson to go back to the essence of my faith and life. And that God is the real treasure. So when you read ahead in verse 25, then you see that God gives you all you need. So why worry about what you eat or wear tomorrow. Or if you make of make not a lot of money of what so ever. God is good, and I've noticed that strongly  this past week. I can (could) worry quickly, or make whole scenarios in my head of what I could say in certain situations (I hope you can follow me with this). But I've learned to put those things in Gods hands again, about the things I worry about. He takes care of me.
