Of….

Time flies, here's another inspiration for Word art wednesday
The word art is from the scripture of 1 Samuel 1:27

I was struggling a bit with this scripture. The first thing I thought was: I don't have a child. I don't even have a husband right now, or a boyfriend. What can I do with this scripture?
So I let it sink in for days and finally, yesterday I knew what I could learn from this scripture.

Lately I am struggling with the lack of energy. I feel like I can't do my job any justice. Or... I think I can better rephrase it that my job can't do me justice anymore. With my 9 years of working for the same company, I have had 2 burnouts. Next week I will be scheduled to work full time again. And I feel like I can't hold on to this any longer. So I've been crying the last few days. And I also am praying for guidance. I really felt the Lord was close to me. In the ways people give me tips or in the coversation with my mother and an acquaintance, so my head cleared and I knew what kind of next steps I have to make, to make my life better.
And also by reading the bible and talking to God.

So the thing I learned from this scripture is that I have to pray for everyting in my life. To place everything in God's hands. He knows what's best for me. He knows my future. I just need to have faith and trust in Him. And I have to let things go, that I want to hold on to so bad and which are not helping me to get better.
All the insecurity for my future. If I'm ever be able to get my energy back and have another job and that the fears and panics won't show.
So what I've learned is to keep praying.

What is this scripture learning you?

(the translation of my journaling is:
This scripture is learning me to place everything in God's hands, with prayer. All my worries, all of my doubts and desires. God knows what's best for you and He'll give you what you need most. )

Zo gaaf!

Wendy, thank you for sharing your heart and what you've learned. Your art is gorgeous and through it I can see myself through it and the things I have learned, need to learn and let go of. That's the beauty of art when you can look at it and see what the artist is trying to say and also feel what you need to take away from it.

Thank you for sharing such a passionate piece of art and being a part of Word Art Wednesday.

Hugs

Oh, Wendy -- what a great application of the passage to your life. Isn't it amazing that even a verse that seems so unrelated to one's life can have real significance?!

As usual, I love your art journal page. You tend to use colours I love, and I appreciate the freedom of spirit that is reflected in your work :)

Hello Wendy, your pages are beautiful, and so is the way you've internalized this Scripture to apply to your life in a way that's real and applicable to you and your situation. I'm sorry for your hardship with your job right now. God is amazing though and when we cast all our cares on Him, He is faithful and will take you on a journey better than you can dream up yourself! Maybe it's a better job in the future, maybe it's a renewed energy for the one you have. "I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a future!" May you take heart in those words of our Lord -- things will get better, just you watch!!

Thank you for sharing your heart with us all. I'll keep you in prayer this week Wendy.
Hugs,
